Richmond IONS July 2024 Meeting

Program Title: “Simple Tools for a Vibrant Life.”  Our July 20, 2024 program will feature a talk by Carey Phillips, Goochland-based Life Coach, Board Certified Licensed Massage Therapist, Eden Energy Medicine Certified Practitioner and owner and founder of Well Into Life Massage and Bodywork.

When asked the question, “Why did you become an Eden Energy Medicine Practitioner?” Carey likes to say she did it “to save her life.”  Raised in an unpredictable home environment, Carey began having health issues around 6 years of age. As the years went on Carey’s symptoms shifted and changed and became increasingly troublesome  ̶  from skin conditions, hair loss, asthma and digestive issues, to depression/anxiety and suicidal ideation. At age 32 she experienced stroke symptoms and puzzled the doctors because all tests came back “normal.” By age 38 she was regularly experiencing full blown panic attacks, migraines and full body pain, with no real diagnosis except needing to manage her stress.

Carey decided to look for answers outside of Western medicine. So, in 2008, with her 3-month-old daughter in tow, she attended a holistic health expo, was introduced to Eden Energy Medicine and began to learn the tools that changed her life and those of so many people with whom she has worked over the past 15 years. As she became an Eden Energy Medicine Certified Practitioner, she also discovered her empathic abilities and now uses all of her tools to support individuals who are seeking to reduce stress and pain and maximize their health.

In Traditional Chinese Medicine it is said that when energy is not moving properly in the body, we experience pain and dysfunction. Our bodies are full of energy pathways that can become restricted by so many factors as we move through our lives. Today, stress is the biggest cause of most major illnesses. Even basic illness and pain can be symptoms of imbalances in our bodies energy systems.

Nowadays, we have an abundance of healthy activities available to us. Carey is passionate about sharing simple resources and exercises, that can blend easily into our already busy lifestyles, to address pain and discomfort without adding any additional stress in the process! Come dressed in comfortable attire to fully experience gentle movement that will support the flow of your energy.

Another nottobemissed program for all who can attendSee you there!
