Richmond IONS May 2023 Meeting

“Who is God? A Radical Interpretation of the Old Testament”

Our May20, 2023 program will feature a talk by Robert Bushman, Ph.D., long-standing member of IONS and applied linguist.

In the common belief of our culture, God is thought of as a person – a wise and kindly old man, with a white beard, faintly Jewish, sitting somewhere up in heaven and directing human affairs. He is supposedly all-loving, all-knowing, all-powerful, and everywhere present.

Furthermore, He created everything – the Earth, the Sun, the Moon, all the stars, all the plants and animals, everything. Even us!

He knows what you’ve been thinking and doing. So, when you die, He will judge whether you go to heaven or hell.

Most of us, of course, have long since out-grown such naive notions, but the question persists: Who is “God,” anyway? Is “God” actually a person, or even a being at all? And how did the God-as-person idea ever get started?

Robert’s presentation will trace the origins of this idea, of the personification of God, and the beliefs which accompanied it, back to ancient Sumer in Mesopotamia, “the cradle of civilization,” and what we find will yield some big surprises. (Robert assures it’s not intended to shake your faith, only to clear things up.)

Robert previously has given talks to our group on exopolitics and remote viewing. They were among the most informative we’ve ever had, and we know this one will be as well.

Another not-to-be-missed program for all who can attend! See you there!

Richmond IONS April 2023 Meeting

“Developing Our Meditation and Psychic Skills Through Neuromodulation”

Our April 15, 2023, program will feature a talk by Glenn Weiner, Ph.D., Licensed Clinical Psychologist and Board Certified in Neurofeedback. Glenn describes his upcoming presentation as follows:

I have been grateful for the IONS presentations over the past few years and wanted to share the little bit that I know in hopes that I can help someone else on their path of growth.

My professional work has been in utilizing a blend of psychotherapy and neuromodulation to help reduce suffering for various clinical disorders. The intersection of science and spirituality is where I like to ponder, learn, explore, and discuss.

My intention is to help participants upgrade their meditation and/or psychic practices or develop one that works for them. I am hoping that there may be something of value in some of these topics that I am going to try to include:

Biofield imaging; EEG 101; Brain patterns of psychics and healers; States of Awareness/Consciousness; Entrainment; HRV Biofeedback; Neurofeedback; Intention/Manifestation; Energetic Healing; Meditation; and Journaling.

My intention is to share some of the science and rationale that underpins the various approaches that will be presented. Terms will be defined in a way intended to make “woo woo” make more sense. Building upon that, I will share some of the neuromodulation, behavioral and energy psychology approaches that individuals have found to be helpful over the years.

I want this workshop to lead to real world changes for the participants. Therefore, I will try to share clear and practical next steps participants can pursue at home.

All of us know meditation is good for us, and that we “ought” to be doing it more, and more deeply. The same applies to trusting our intuition, being mindful, connecting with others in a heart coherent state, etc. We all do the best that we can at the time.

We will spend some time trying to help participants identify where they get stuck in pursuit of these experiences, and explore strategies to get back on the path of better spiritual self-care and spiritual development.

About Glenn Weiner, our Richmond IONS April 2023 Meeting Presenter

Glenn Weiner, Ph.D., earned his Ph.D. from Temple University in 1982. He is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist and has spent most of his career in a multidisciplinary group behavioral healthcare practice in Chesterfield County, Virginia. He is Board Certified in Neurofeedback, also known as EEG Biofeedback.

Dr. Weiner has presented workshops and webinars on a variety of topics for the two major international professional neurofeedback organizations as well as locally for The Virginia Psychiatric Society, The Virginia Psychological Association, VCU/Medical College of Virginia, HCA Virginia, and others.

In 2016 he wrote a chapter: Evolving as a Neurotherapist: Integrating psychotherapy and neurofeedback. This appeared in The Handbook of Clinical QEEG and Neurotherapy .

Richmond IONS March 2023 Meeting

“Exploring the Cosmic Mind with Psychedelics”

Our March 18, 2023, program will feature a talk by Christopher Bache, Ph.D., Ohio philosophy professor, consciousness explorer and author, on his book LSD
and the Mind of the Universe.

In 1979, Chris Bache began a life-changing journey. Drawing on his training as a philosopher of religion, Bache set out to explore his consciousness as systematically as possible with the help of LSD.

Following therapeutic protocols established by Stanislav Grof, M.D., he conducted 73 therapeutically structured, high-dose LSD sessions over 20 years.

Journey alongside Chris as he describes the stages of his journey and the spiral of death and rebirth that took him into an ever-deepening communion with the universe.

He shares his experience of the Creative Intelligence that both embraced and crushed him in a series of initiations that became the philosophical adventure of a lifetime.

He describes the incalculable value of embracing the pain and suffering he encountered on this journey and the challenges he faced integrating his experiences into his everyday life.

At the center of his narrative are the visions he was given of humanity’s evolutionary journey and the turning point it has come to as it strains to give birth to the Future Human.

Pushing the boundaries of theory and practice, Chris shows how psychedelic experiences can take you beyond self-transformation into collective transformation, beyond the present into the future, and beyond space and time into the Divine Luminosity that lies outside cyclic existence.

About Christopher Bache, our Richmond IONS March 2023 Meeting Presenter

Christopher Bache, Ph.D., is professor emeritus in the department of Philosophy and Religious Studies at
Youngstown State University, where he taught for 33 years. He is also adjunct faculty at the California Institute of Integral Studies, Emeritus Fellow at the Institute of Noetic Sciences, and on the Advisory Council of Grof Legacy Training.

Chris’ passion has been the study of the philosophical implications of non-ordinary states of consciousness, particularly psychedelic states. An award-winning teacher
and international speaker, Chris has written four books:

  • Lifecycles – a study of reincarnation in light of contemporary consciousness research;
  • Dark Night, Early Dawn – a pioneering work in psychedelic philosophy and collective consciousness;
  • The Living Classroom, an exploration of collective fields of consciousness in teaching; and
  • LSD and the Mind of the Universe, the story of his 20-year journey with LSD.

Richmond IONS February 2023 Meeting

“Creating A Novel From Your Past Life”

Our February 18, 2023 program will feature a talk by
Marta Anne Tice, Nellysford-based CID, ASID, Author, Interior Designer, Innkeeper and Feng Shui Practitioner, on her past-life inspired historical novel, Allegiance to Alsace.

All of us have hidden in our memory banks experiences of other lifetimes, and some of us are impelled by circumstances, and memories bubbling to the surface of our awareness, to engage with them and write about them.

When Marta was fourteen, she experienced a déjà vu flashback of a lifetime in Germany in the 1800s. Later, she experienced another connection with that lifetime, when she became mesmerized by a book on Napoleon she found in her parents’ library.

Later still, when studying art history and history of furnishings at American University, visions of that lifetime, set in the early nineteenth century, returned.

While visiting Alsace-Lorraine in 2006, more memories, plus synchronistic events, manifested themselves as if from nowhere. When studying Napoleon’s Josephine, Marta felt as if she had known her!

After several regressions, her memories came together into a coherent whole. Through massive research over many years, that lifetime came alive for her when she began writing about it during the Covid Pandemic.

The novel which resulted is, effectively, Marta’s “channeling” of her experiences and first-hand memories from that lifetime, presented in fictional form.

Allegiance to Alsace was published in April 2022 and is currently available on Amazon and on Barnes & Noble.com, both in print and in Kindle and Audible formats.

Marta will share her journey of self-discovery and offer suggestions for how we can discover our own non-linear histories, since we all have them. Signed copies of the novel will be available at the event.

About Marta Anne Tice, our Richmond IONS February 2023 Meeting Presenter

Martha (“Marta”) Anne Tice is a native of Virginia and graduated from American University with a BA degree in Art History with an emphasis in history of furnishings and interior design. She is a professional member of ASID (American Society of Interior Designers).

Marta’s love of horses and equestrian sports kept her active in fox hunting with three Virginia hunt clubs for over thirty five years. She is the owner of “Leap of Faith Lodging,” a bed and breakfast at Nellysford, near Wintergreen.

As a member of Daughters of the American Revolution, she is passionate about genealogy. She researched her father’s Tice (Theiss) side, which drew the inspiration for her novel, Allegiance to Alsace. Her father, William Preston Tice, a Roanoke, Virginia neurosurgeon, believed we carry the memories of our ancestors in our DNA.

Her sequel, Alsace to America, now in progress, will focus on her mother’s family. Marta can be reached through her website at martaatice.com or by email at martaleapoffaith@gmail.com.

“Building a New Earth Matrix of Sustainable Oneness”

Our January 21, 2023, 27th Anniversary program will feature a talk by Carol Lynn Fitzpatrick, a Fredericksburg, Virginia-based seer, visionary, channel, spiritual activist, empathetic intuitive guide and author.

Carol Fitzpatrick’s life has been one of progressive spiritual emergence, the precursor for which began in 1989, when she began unraveling the  mysteries of a transformation that took her deep into the mystical realms of the Divine.

She published her first book in July 2003, entitled Fear Not My Child, I Am Here, described as “the Practical Mystic’s Guide to Embracing Your Heart’s Desire.”

In mid-2009 Carol received a clarion call to be guided by a group called the Star Elders, for activating a higher frequency grid and to balance and stabilize the existing Earth grid by anchoring globally focused Centers in energetically key locations on every major continent. She is joined in this sacred work by a Council and co-founder and husband, Mark Torgeson.

Carol regularly channels the Star Elders, and her talk will be a combination of direct channelings along with commentary from Carol about the New Earth Matrix initiatives she and Mark, her spiritual partner and collaborator, have created, including The Center for Planetary Awakening, The 32 Centers Project, and the Sustainable Oneness Spiritual Alliance.

Her talk will include forecasts for 2023 and beyond, as well as guidance about how each of us can become better aligned with the profound global transformation in consciousness now occurring, and experience ever deepening levels of our most authentic self within that transformation.

This promises to be another great program and a perfect way to celebrate our 27th Anniversary. Another not-to-be-missed program for all who can attend! See you there!

About Carol Lynn Fitzpatrick, our Richmond IONS January 2023 Meeting Presenter

Carol Fitzpatrick is a visionary and spiritual activist who has been mentoring new paradigm leaders for the past 25 years. She is the author of two books, Fear Not My Child (2002) and A Call to Remember (2008).

She is the founder of Living the Miracle: A Center for New Paradigm Leadership and Global Network, which supports people that are on the cutting edge of bringing about radical change to the face of our human family.

Her prophetic teachings, while rooted in the practical application of modern-day life, provide a higher perspective for those seeking the key to realizing the ultimate goal of human transcendence.

Her platform of teaching new paradigm leaders how to live in the flow of joy has evolved from a grassroots wake-up call to an international movement.

The foundation of her work began in 2001, when she formed a partnership with husband, Mark Torgeson. She combined her prophetic work with his passion for music and their mutual exploration of vibration to transform and heal. She can be reached at www.carolfitzpatrick.com.

Richmond IONS December 2022 Meeting

“The First Principle: Bring More Joy to Your World.”

Our December 17, 2022 program will feature a talk by Isabel Pinto, an artisan from the City of Sogamosa, in the Colombian Andes, and Taliesen St. Clair, an Andromedan/Pleiadean sage also known to many of you as Tom Coates.

When an artist undertakes to create within a particular medium of expression, he aspires to breathe some meaningful aspect of life from our four-dimensional world into the two-dimensional framework of the medium, whether that medium is canvas or something else.

Art works which resonate most deeply within us are those which most vividly come to life before our eyes or stir our emotions. Monet’s impressionist paintings of water and Maya Ying Lin’s Vietnam War Memorial are two examples of this phenomenon, and both move us to tears in their own special ways.

A soul which animates a body and mind goes through a process similar to an artist seeking to bring life to a canvas. The soul’s aim is to bring as much from the infinite realm into this finite realm as it possibly can.

Each of us is a work in progress in this regard, an integral part of this grand experiment, this grand adventure of Creation expressing itself in an astounding variety of ways.

Guidance confirms over and over again that the Source of Creation, whether we call it God, All-That-Is, I Am, or otherwise, and all souls, undertake Creation in a spirit of pure unbridled Joy, and that Joy is its primary and perhaps most important of all principles.

The more harmoniously we align ourselves with Joy, the more fulfilling, satisfying, rewarding, purposeful and enlightened our physical lives, both outer and inner, are likely to become.

This program will be aimed at ways to enhance our lives by finding, experiencing and expressing more Joy within them; and, in so doing, finding, bringing forth, integrating and becoming one with our truest, most authentic Self at the deepest levels of our Being.

Another not-to-be-missed program for all who can attend! See you there!

About Isabel Pinto and Taliesen St. Clair, our Richmond IONS December 2022 Meeting Presenter

Isabel Pinto is native of Sogamosa, Colombia, and was the youngest of seven children. She emigrated to the U.S. in the 1990s after graduating from college in Bogota, arriving first in Miami, then relocating to St. Louis, and eventually to Richmond in 2017.

Though her day job is as a medical interpreter at MCV and as a licensed massage therapist, she has been practicing shamanic healing for most of her adult life and has trained with indigenous shamans in both South and Central America.

She also hails from a distant galaxy for which we have no name, since it remains as yet undiscovered by our science.

Taliesin St. Clair is better known to our group as Tom Coates, for whom he serves as alter-ego, sidekick, writing partner and occasional spiritual advisor and mentor.

Richmond IONS November 2022 Meeting

“Health, Belief and Channeling with Family Constellations.”

Mo Regulinski is a Richmond-based artist/healer, Reverend in the Church of Wisdom, and Family Constellations Facilitator. She presents Family Constellations, a practice creating doorways into the sacred place of joy and prosperity. Step through the door and navigate a new experience of planet Earth.

This presentation begins with Mo’s journey through childhood chronic disease, art and her path to healing. Family Constellations is a therapeutic approach designed to help reveal the hidden, dysfunctional and destructive patterns in a family or in a relationship in order to discover the often unknown stress factors and emotional wounds impacting these relationships or family dynamics and then take effective steps to heal them.

It is based on a living and whole systems approach and can offer a grounded way of illuminating personal and collective issues and resolving them.

Family Constellations therapy can help release negative burdens carried forward from childhood. Powerful upbringing beliefs and ideas play an important role in how one develops. Like stars in the sky, a family is a collection of individuals, separate yet connected at the same time.

Constellations covered by a cloud remain intact but not fully seen. Family Constellations work reveals the hidden star behind family clouds of loyalty and destructive patterns. Experience the joy of channeling Divine Source information. Release, heal and replace worn-out patterns and faulty thoughts with positive forward motion.

About Mo Regulinski, our Richmond IONS November 2022 Meeting Presenter

Mo is an ordained Reverend in the Church of Wisdom through Delphi University in McCaysville, GA. Her focus of study was Ro-Hun, the psycho-spiritual release of faulty thoughts. In 2015 she became a Family Constellations Facilitator.

Decades of experiencing allopathic medicine and spirituality lead her to the healing path she practices today. As an adult, Mo shares her story and energy healing modalities to build a bridge between allopathic medicine and the energies of belief and spirituality.

As an artist Mo makes wearable art using sanitized medical disposables she uses to manage Type 1 Diabetes. These embellished garments tell the story of living with a chronic physical condition. Through transforming medical supplies into art supplies, Mo rewrites the story of her health timeline.

She facilitates workshops with the VCU Health, Department of Endocrinology, Bon Secours Mercy Health System, the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts, The Virginia Commission for the Arts, Serenity Farm Retreat Center and spiritual organizations throughout Virginia and the United States.

She received her Master of Fine Arts from the University of Southern California. Mo can be reached at moregulinski.com or
by email at moregulunski@mac.com.

Richmond IONS October 2022 Meeting

“One Soul, Two Lives? The TwinFlame Path to Divine Love.”

Our October 15, 2022 program will feature a talk by Smita Garg, Ed.D., artist, intuitive healer and soul regression therapist.

Shiva and Shakti, Jesus and Mary Magdalene, Isis and Osiris…. Across time and cultures, there have existed examples of masculine and feminine Divine lovers who have transcended our very definition of love.

Even though many do not believe it is possible to attain this ultimate love, people dream of experiencing it. Poetry, literature, and art over centuries have been devoted to this love. Think Rumi or ballads of Radha and Krishna, Romeo and Juliet….

Since her sudden and profound awakening in 2014, Smita continues to be guided by many high-level guides, Gurus and teachers. Some are embodied and some are not.

In December 2014, she saw the Archangels and they directed her to help people struggling with grief. Thereafter she was guided to train with Dr. Brian Weiss in PLR (Past Life Regression Therapy) and Dr. Linda Backman in BLSR (Between Lives Soul Regression).

During her talk, Smita will address questions like what is the role of Divine lovers and this extraordinary love in this 3-dimensional world?
What does unconditional Divine love look like? Is it available to mere humans or is it a myth?

Exploring her own reincarnation journey as a Twinflame, Smita Garg will reveal the mysteries and purpose of Divine love. Using her knowledge of ancient Hindu philosophy, she will elaborate on the higher mission of Divine love.

Divine love relationships are deeply connected to the ascension of all humanity. They offer incredible treasures such as the awakening of psychic gifts, coming into alignment with the soul’s purpose, and even enlightenment, which Smita will explore with us in this exceptional program.

About Smita Garg, our Richmond IONS October 2022 Meeting Presenter

Smita Garg, Ed.D., is an artist, an intuitive healer, and a soul regression therapist trained by Dr. Brian Weiss and Dr. Linda Backman. Her journey of awakening started at a very young age when she had many out of body experiences and developed an acute sensitivity to her environment.

Later in life, she experienced a series of life-changing events like unnatural and sudden deaths of loved ones, a profound meeting with her twinflame, and subsequent messages from ascended masters and the three main Archangels.

Crossing paths with her twinflame opened her eyes to each soul’s innate beauty, including her own. She finally began to understand Universal Consciousness and experienced unconditional Divine love. This love changed the course of her life and brought her into alignment with her spiritual path.

As this love activated her on her mission in this lifetime, she began to intuit the subtle Universe and its design in a way she never thought possible.

Smita has studied many kinds of healing modalities such as Reiki and crystal healing, various psychic phenomena, and mediumship, among other things.

Richmond IONS September 2022 Meeting

“Tantra: The Spiritual Science of Energy”

Our September 17, 2022, program will feature a talk by Scott Moore, Richmond-based Personal Life Coach and Tantra Massage Therapist.

Tantra has been talked about a lot in modern society, usually having to do with sex. From celebrities who have amazing endurance, to special tricks that can prolong and extend pleasure, this has been the modern interpretation of Tantra. But there is so much more. In fact, only about 5% of the texts on Tantra deal with sex. The other 95% do not.

Tantra can be thought of as the spiritual science of energy. It is a system that permeates our bodies, the world around us, and the universe. Every type of energy follows certain rules and can be controlled, and once controlled, this energy can be used to complete goals in our lifetime. Sexual energy is just one form of energy that can be used.

This talk will be an overview of Tantra, describing different components of the system, from the large-scale forms in the universe, as well as the manifestations in our own energetic and physical bodies. We will practice sensing energy in ourselves and others, using a few demonstrations and techniques. Tantra massage and spiritual sexuality will be described, and resources to learn more will be discussed.
